Key Responsibilities
  • Design roof and floor trusses in engineering software
  • Read architectural prints to create truss placement layouts
  • Provide design support related tasks
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in designing roof & floor trusses, and/or wall panels
  • Broad knowledge of engineering fundamentals, wood truss roof and floor design, and building materials
  • Experience with design software, including MiTek
  • Strong visualization skills and ability to picture complex conditions in wood structures from plans and specifications
  • Effective communication skills to work with architects, engineers, customers, and fellow team members
