Operating Room Nurse

Job Summary:
Piedmont Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team on a full-time basis, working nights. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the health care needs of patients assigned to your care.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team, prioritizing patient needs and providing effective communication to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, ensuring that care is patient-centered and evidence-based.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of safety, respect, and open communication.
- Assume the role of Charge Nurse as needed, demonstrating leadership and management skills to ensure the smooth operation of the Operating Room.
Requirements:
- Current unrestricted RN license in the State of South Carolina.
- Attends IV Therapy training and/or demonstrates competency in intravenous therapy within one year.
- Maintains competency and/or certification specific to departmental requirements.
- Must have current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
- Advanced certification in specialty field and/or participation in professional organization(s) encouraged.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous hospital experience.
- Management and teaching ability.
