Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Survey Crew Chief to lead our land surveying team in conducting boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout surveys. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the field crew, ensuring accurate data collection, and maintaining company equipment and vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of surveyors in conducting field surveys, including boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout surveys.
- Oversee the operation of robotic total stations and GPS receivers to collect accurate data and information.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure efficient and safe field operations.
- Collaborate with licensed surveyors to develop deed work maps, base maps, and conduct courthouse research to collect right of way property information.
- Ensure compliance with industry-specific safe workplace principles and practices.
- Operate motorized equipment and work outdoors in various field conditions.
- 5+ years of survey experience, with a strong background in land surveying.
- Skilled in the use of GPS devices, data collectors, and total stations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction specifications, and industry-specific regulations.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate motorized equipment.
