Job Summary

This is a temporary, fixed-term adjunct faculty position in the Dental Science Programs at Indian River State College. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in the dental clinic laboratory, classroom setting, or online formats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver instruction in dental science courses, including lecture, clinic, and laboratory rotations.
  • Evaluate student outcomes using multiple methodologies and maintain accurate student records.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that integrates technology and innovative approaches in the laboratory and clinical setting.
  • Collaborate with other dental personnel to ensure effective use of the IRSC Dental Clinic resources.
  • Participate in a quality assurance program for the IRSC Dental Clinic.
  • Maintain adherence to accreditation standards and reporting requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between Indian River State College and the dental community.
  • Support student success through counseling, advising, and assisting individual students.
Requirements
  • DDS or DMD from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
  • Active license from the State of Florida.
  • Two years or more of full-time experience working in a dental practice with chair-side experience and dental office management.
  • Ability to apply technology and innovative approaches in the laboratory and clinical setting.
  • Recent industry experience working with contemporary strategies is highly desired.
Working Conditions

This position requires an ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, and carry items occasionally in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines.
