Job Summary:

This is a full-time, hourly level position in the Distribution department of the ADM plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for filling in for vacations, sick days, and other time off for distribution staff, as well as performing additional shifts in packaging, loading, or unloading if customer demand requires.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Filling in for distribution staff during vacations, sick days, and other time off
  • Performing additional shifts in packaging, loading, or unloading as needed
  • Performing sanitation duties
  • Directing other employees in proper safety, food safety, and sanitation procedures
  • Reading and speaking English
  • Completing paperwork and plant control documentation in both written and computerized
  • Learning to operate all equipment in the distribution department
  • Learning to operate a fork lift in the warehouse
  • Learning to operate all equipment in the Bulk Feed Loadout and Rail Bulk Flour Unload area
  • Learning to operate the plant locomotive

Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk continuously for 8 hours if necessary
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds/23 kilograms
  • Ability to work at heights and wear standard fall protection safety gear
  • Willingness to rotate shifts and work overtime
  • Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, weekends, and required overtime
  • Reliable transportation to work, including on 2nd and 3rd shift
  • Ability to direct other employees in proper safety, food safety, and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to read and speak English
  • Ability to complete paperwork and plant control documentation in both written and computerized
  • Willingness to learn about and operate all equipment in the distribution department
  • Willingness to learn to operate a fork lift in the warehouse
  • Willingness to follow all safety and food safety rules and procedures
  • Willingness to learn and operate all equipment in the Bulk Feed Loadout and Rail Bulk Flour Unload area
  • Willingness to learn and operate the plant locomotive
