Job Overview

Position Objective:

The role involves the movement of materials and products within a manufacturing or warehouse environment utilizing manual hand trucks, electric hand trucks, and forklifts for the purpose of loading, unloading, or organizing inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Preferred six months of relevant experience, though not mandatory.
  • Manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to operate motorized equipment.
  • Ability to recognize workplace sights and sounds effectively.
  • Develop basic to intermediate skills in relevant procedures and equipment.
  • Basic math skills are necessary.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including potential overtime, is required.
  • Willingness to adapt to various roles within the department as needed.

Physical Demands:

The position requires the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. from floor to shoulder height, routinely push or pull a minimum of 50 lbs. with a manual pallet jack, and occasionally bend, stoop, or climb. The individual must be able to stand for extended periods, typically 8 to 10 hours, and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand dollies. Successful completion of a forklift-driving assessment is necessary to become an authorized operator. A background check is mandatory, and adherence to safety protocols, including the use of protective equipment, is essential. Exposure to various environmental conditions, including chemicals and temperature fluctuations, may occur, and the individual must be able to adjust to these conditions.
