Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Security Officer to join our team at Kohler. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our assets, people, and brand worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and emergencies, utilizing analytical skills to assess and evaluate situations.
  • Provide general assistance to associates, vendors, and guests, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Coordinate response efforts to life safety incidents, dispatching security personnel and emergency services as needed.
  • Perform operational responsibilities during assigned shifts, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.
  • Protect and safeguard associates, customers, visitors, and assets, while maintaining the security of our premises.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of individuals, preventing theft and maintaining security.
  • Use analytical skills to assess situations, determining proper escalation in the notification process.
  • Recognize and report security equipment issues, ensuring timely notifications for repair.
  • Input information from various sources to maintain accurate records in our case management system.
  • Utilize our mass notification system, maintaining accurate contact information and activating notifications as required.
  • Perform research and produce timely travel assessments or special detail reports for executives and travelers to high-risk areas.
  • Maintain confidentiality, as you will have access to sensitive data.
  • Scan and assess public and private information sources, including social media, for potential threats to our properties, personnel, or brand.
  • Assist in the development and training of security officers to improve individual performance.
  • Set an example for our security team members in all areas, especially behavior and personal appearance.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Take a proactive approach in improving security processes and procedures, identifying specific problems or deficiencies.
  • Demonstrate expertise in computer software used by our security team, including troubleshooting security systems as necessary.
  • Participate in the planning of departmental objectives.
  • Submit daily reports of activities and irregularities.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a two-year college degree in an applicable field, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer programs and operations.
  • Ability to establish, develop, and maintain courteous and effective working relationships.
  • Maintain emotional control and work effectively during emergencies, crisis situations, or extremely stressful conditions.
  • Ability to memorize, retain, and accurately recall information.
  • Prior experience balancing multiple tasks or projects simultaneously, organizing, prioritizing, and adapting to constantly changing situations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, irregular hours, or extended shifts with short notice.
  • Provide guidance for others using effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Work independently and encourage the same from coworkers.
  • Comfortable interacting with executive-level decision makers and able to communicate effectively with them.
  • Ability to use de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques.
Physical Requirements
  • The ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
