Riverside Health System is seeking a skilled Optician to join our team. As an Optician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of quality in our optical services.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, fit, and adapt lenses and frames for patients according to written optical prescription or specifications.
- Assist patients with selecting frames and provide guidance on eye wear technology.
- Measure patients for size of eyeglasses and coordinate frames with facial and eye measurements and optical prescription.
- Prepare lab orders containing instructions for grinding and mounting lenses in frames.
- Verify exactness of finished lens spectacles and adjust frame and lens positions to fit patients.
- Perform administrative duties such as tracking inventory, submitting patient insurance claims, and performing simple bookkeeping.
- Arrange and maintain displays of optical merchandise.
- Program Graduate, approved school of Opticianry.
- 2 years Optician experience (preferred).
- Optician License - Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation.
