About the Role

As a Transportation and Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of equipment and materials, ensuring that all transportation permits are accurate and compliant with regulations. You will also assist in assembling, inspecting, and operating cranes and other equipment, following established safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Coordinate transportation of equipment and materials, verifying transportation permits to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Participate in daily safety briefings, contributing to maintaining a safe working environment.

    ">
  • Assist in assembling, inspecting, and operating cranes and other equipment, adhering to standard operational policies and procedures.

    ">
  • Collaborate with the team to accomplish tasks associated with specialty lifting, re-railing, load transfer, track maintenance/repair, grading, or other work related to railroad construction and activities.

    ">
  • Maintain equipment and vehicles, performing minor service and referring more complex issues to the Shop Manager/Foreman for repair.

    ">
  • Restock vehicles/equipment with necessary parts, components, and supplies in preparation for future work, and sort scrap materials for disposal.

    ">
  • Provide flexible support to other departments/divisions as required to meet business needs and customer expectations.

  • Adhere to all required safety policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • ">
  • A minimum of three years of progressive experience operating heavy motorized equipment.

    ">
  • A valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a good driving record.

    ">
  • The ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

    ">
  • Strong adherence to safety policies and procedures.

    ">
  • Ability to pass qualification tests as required, including E-Rail Safe and other training/safety programs.

    ">
  • 24/7 availability to respond to emergency calls, including weekends and holidays.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer an estimated salary of $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
