Cost Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant with 2+ years of experience, particularly in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost systems, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency with financial systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- This role is responsible for maintaining accurate process cost information, reconciling standard to actual costs, supporting the month-end close process, preparing financial reports, and assisting functional leaders with data to improve operational performance.
The successful candidate will maintain and reconcile standard costs and actual costs, analyze manufacturing variances and perform root cause analysis, prepare and present financial reports to leaders, support physical inventories and cycle counts, and assist with cost system maintenance and budget processes.
This is a fast-paced manufacturing environment with cross-functional teamwork and collaboration. The role involves working closely with functional leaders and providing routine and ad hoc analysis.
The Cost Accountant will play a vital role in setting and maintaining process cost information and standard costs, providing financial analysis to support decision-making. The individual will support both day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives like the month-end close process, budgeting, and operational performance reviews.
Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting (or equivalent education/experience).
- 2+ years of Cost Accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost systems, financial analysis, and GAAP.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
