Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our General Medicine team at Danbury Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide professional care and assume responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional patient outcomes through the utilization of the nursing process in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing assessments in a systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status.
  • Formulate a goal-directed plan of care that is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes.
  • Implement care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and continuous manner.
  • Establish priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available resources.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care given and patient progression toward outcomes.
  • Identify patient's/significant other's learning needs and implement appropriate measures to meet them.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary functions.
  • Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

Requirements

  • State of CT RN license.
  • 36 control hours.
  • Shift: 7:00pm-7:30am; weekend commitment per policy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN degree.
