Job Summary:
KVC Health Systems is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Pediatric Weekend Option RN. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our pediatric patients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for pediatric patients.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform various medical procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Document patient progress, medication administration, and any notable events or concerns.
- Participate in staff training and education to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Assist with patient/parent teaching and provide emotional support to families.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas.
- At least 21 years old and valid driver's license.
- Valid auto insurance and reliable transportation.
- Three to six months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate of $35-$39, with an additional $3 per hour for night shifts.
- Weekend option nurses will be paid for 36 hours of time when working 24 hours per weekend.
