We are seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer to lead our project teams in planning and designing safe, smooth, and efficient roadway systems for communities across the Midwest.
Key Responsibilities- Lead project activities through the life cycle of projects, ensuring successful delivery from the environmental stage through construction.
- Prepare or oversee detailed engineering analyses, schedules, technical reports, and other project deliverables.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with project teams, including CAD designers, engineers, and subcontractors, to complete projects safely, on time, and with high quality.
- Create and foster a project team culture of superior service for clients.
- Assist in client contact and communications.
As a Transportation Engineer at Houston Engineering, Inc., you will work on a variety of projects, including:
- Traffic planning and analysis
- Roadway and railway design
- Geometric layout and drainage analysis
- Erosion control and environmental clearance coordination
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related Engineering degree
- State Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with state DOT and county highway projects preferred
- Experience operating AutoCAD, MicroStation, and/or Geopak preferred
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
