About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Ground Systems Engineer to join our team at Terran Orbital Corporation. As a Ground Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of our spacecraft ground systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of system requirements, design, interface management, data architecture development, verification and validation, integration, performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis, and physical configuration assessments.
  • Manage ground segment technical and interface requirements, and oversee requirements and interface verification.
  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Support the development of system engineering items such as CONOPs, requirements definitions (or features, themes, epics), system testing, algorithm document review, and interfaces to other application development efforts.
  • Support the development and refinement of acquisition strategies, and identify program execution issues and provide recommendations when possible.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or relevant discipline and 5 years or more of experience in technical program management and systems engineering.
  • 3 years experience in Software Systems Engineering, Design, and Architecture Development.
Distinguishing Qualifications and Skills
  • MS or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering with application focus.
  • Agile software methodology development.
  • Understanding of and experience with Git, CI/CD, DevOps, Cloud, Containerization, and Kubernetes.
  • MBSE expertise and MBSE development tools (e.g. Cameo).
  • Experience developing in Python.
  • Familiarity with testing aerospace flight hardware.
  • Developing with industry standard tool suites to include Atlassian.
  • Space Mission Operations Support.
