Role: Vascular Imaging Specialist - Per Diem
Are you an experienced Vascular Sonographer seeking a flexible role that allows for income supplementation and a harmonious work-life balance? Consider our Per Diem Vascular Imaging Specialist position at MaineGeneral Health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical vascular diagnostic assessments.
- Collect detailed and accurate patient histories while ensuring comprehensive documentation.
- Confirm patient identity and evaluate clinical symptoms, historical data, and overall physical condition to ascertain relevance to the requested ultrasound examination.
- Analyze examination outcomes and promptly communicate urgent findings to referring medical professionals.
- Commit to ongoing professional development by engaging in educational opportunities within the department, including training sessions.
- Exhibit outstanding customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, referring physicians, and medical staff.
Qualifications:
- Completion of vascular technology training beyond high school or an Associate degree.
- Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or as a Vascular Specialist (RVS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within one year of graduation from a vascular sonography program.
- A minimum of one year of experience with various modalities, including extracranial, venous, peripheral arterial, and visceral assessments.
Work Schedule: Variable hours
Job Classification: Non-exempt
