Job Description

ENSCO, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Specialist to join our Finance Division at our headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide external and government audit support, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in month-end closing, including financial statement preparation, review, and distribution.
  • Perform financial statement variance analysis, explaining fluctuations from month to month, year over year, and against budgets.
  • Ensure financial reports adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Cost Accounting Standards.
  • Conduct accounting research to answer inquiries and apply proper accounting treatment.
  • Provide timely responses to departmental inquiries related to financial transactions.
  • Reconcile inventory accounts and review all balances.
  • Provide analytical review and support to the Finance division.
  • Assist in system automation projects, ensuring financial systems are cost-effective and efficient.
  • Assist in maintaining accounting internal controls, policies, and procedures, identifying problems and developing improved processes.
  • Assist in maintaining cost pools and adhering to Disclosure Statements.
  • Assist in monthly inter-company entries and consolidations.
  • Ensure tasks are completed accurately and timely.
  • Develop working knowledge of various types of government contracts.
  • Experience with Equivalent Annual Cost (EAC) review and analysis.
  • Participate in special projects as directed by the Director of Financial Reporting, Controller, or CFO.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate.
  • Public Accounting Experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant government contracts experience.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Client Accounting Services (CAS).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Deltek Costpoint experience.
