Responsibilities

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

  • Conducting health assessments, Individual Healthcare Plans, and Emergency Care Plans for all students with chronic health conditions.
  • Collaborating with school nurses, parents, medical providers, and school personnel to meet the healthcare needs of students.
  • Providing health education, guidance, counseling, and presentations to promote optimal health.
  • Administering prescribed medications and treatments per District protocols.

In addition, the incumbent will participate in student planning meetings and other school health-related committees regarding health/safety concerns when scheduled.
