**Job Description:** We are seeking an experienced Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel Supervisor to join our operations management team at the Virginia Department of Transportation – Hampton Roads District. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for effective resource management, incident response, and personnel supervision to ensure efficient administration of tunnel operations.

The successful candidate will work mostly afternoon and overnight hours to support second and third shift operations. This position is designated as essential, requiring duties during emergency situations such as inclement weather, disaster response, and emergency operations. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership and management skills through appropriate planning and implementation of processes, procedures, and policies for people management, administrative, budgetary, and operational responsibilities
  • Administering Human Resources programs, policies, processes, and activities; providing accurate documentation for all personnel-related actions in accordance with Agency policies and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws

The estimated salary for this role is $90,000 - $145,000 per year based on location and industry standards. The position requires extensive management experience in large, multi-site operations, ability to work flexible rotating shifts, knowledge of administrative and supervisory principles and practices, demonstrated ability to plan, instruct, supervise, and implement policies and procedures, and skill in the use of computers and software applications.
