Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Do you have a knack for recruiting and engaging volunteers? We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Volunteer Recruitment Specialist to join our team at the American Red Cross.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team that is dedicated to helping people in need. As a Senior Volunteer Recruitment Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract and engage volunteers in the Eastern Chapters region. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and leverage opportunities for volunteer engagement, and develop and maintain relationships with key volunteer recruitment agencies and organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement broad-based recruitment strategies to attract and engage volunteers in the Eastern Chapters region
  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key volunteer recruitment agencies and organizations
  • Partner with internal staff to strengthen existing relationships and identify new opportunities for volunteer engagement
  • Evaluate and modify recruitment strategies based on lessons learned
  • Coach, develop, and lead volunteer recruitment teams (paid and volunteers)

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent combination of related education and experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years related experience required
  • Management experience: minimum 6 months supervisory experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in training and presentation skills, as well as the ability to relate effectively to people of diverse backgrounds and education levels
