Key Responsibilities:- Apply the nursing process to effectively interact with patients and other health team members, maintaining standards of Advanced Nurse Practice.
- Identify patient and family education needs and collaborate with other disciplines to initiate education according to the patient's age.
- Participate in planning patients' discharge needs and readiness for discharge.
- Practice safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.
- Maintain legible, accurate, and confidential medical records.
- Perform miscellaneous job duties as assigned.
- Master's level preparation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current license to practice as an APRN in the State of Louisiana.
- Current national certification by a national organization recognized by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
- CPR Certification must be up to date prior to completion or orientation and assuming the position.
