Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership in launch vehicle propulsion systems engineering, including systems design, analysis, and testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement launch vehicle propulsion systems, including cryogenic systems, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic systems, and propellant supply systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Participate in engineering review boards and provide technical recommendations to ensure the successful launch of launch vehicles.
  • Support the development and implementation of launch vehicle propulsion systems, including solid rocket motors, liquid rocket engines, and ordnance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in launch vehicle propulsion systems engineering, with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of launch vehicle propulsion systems, including cryogenic systems, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic systems, and propellant supply systems.
  • Experience with launch vehicle design, manufacturing, testing, and launch operations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Atlas, Delta, and/or Vulcan system design, manufacture, test, and operations.
  • Experience with USSF, NRO, NASA, and LV Contractors and subcontractors.
  • Ability to assess design drawings, processes, and procedures of propulsion systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with Los Angeles AFB (SMC) Launch Enterprise.
