Supervising Bookbinder

MTA, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Bookbinder to join our team. As a key member of our Print Shop, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating with the print shop manager to schedule jobs and set priorities for all bindery employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate with the print shop manager to ensure the smooth operation of jobs and quality control of final products.
• Log and track all bindery print orders in an online database for audit purposes.
• Submit daily reports to the manager as requested and schedule and supervise necessary maintenance for all print shop bindery machinery.
• Train new staff on bindery equipment and ensure they are proficient in operating various commercial grade machines.
• Coordinate with the distribution team for on-time scheduled daily deliveries of print orders.

Requirements:

• Two years of experience as a supervisory bookbinder and meet the following minimum qualifications.
• A four-year high school diploma or its education equivalent and three years of satisfactory full-time bookbinding experience in operating various commercial grade machines.
• Excellent administrative, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of and ability to set-up, operate, troubleshoot, and train others on various commercial grade machines.

Desired Skills:

• Ability to lift 25-40 pounds repetitively.
• Willingness to work rotation shifts, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
