Position Overview:
The Advanced Practice Provider in Cardiac Critical Care plays a vital role in managing patients who are critically ill following cardiovascular procedures or those requiring intensive care. This position involves close collaboration with Cardiovascular Intensivists and attending physicians to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the care of critically ill cardiovascular patients, ensuring continuity of care until discharge.
- Support patient management during technical procedures and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize care plans.
- Identify and address discharge planning needs to facilitate comprehensive support for patients.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A Master's degree in a relevant field, with advanced knowledge across multiple disciplines.
- Experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with acute care training, ideally 3-5 years.
- Active Maryland Registered Nurse License, NCCPA Certification (for PAs), Maryland CDS License, DEA License, and current BLS/ACLS Certifications.
- Certification from AANC or AANP (for NPs).
