Structural Steel Estimator

As an estimator, you'll be responsible for estimating fabricated structural steel. This Estimating position comes with a very competitive salary and great benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quantitative take-offs.
• Oversee and review project plans, requirements, and specifications.
• Determine labor and equipment costs.
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing.
• Understand project logistics and project schedule for Steel industry standards.
• Understand all bid documents and assess project risks.
• Review quotes and estimates with the project team.
• Prepare estimates and different levels of completion (conceptual, schematic, DD, CD, etc.).
• Orchestrate pre-construction duties and meeting with owners, clients, and engineers.
• Serve as company interface between owner & architect.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of structural and miscellaneous steel estimating experience.
• Detailing experience not required but a bonus.
• Advanced computer skills with estimating software.
• Extensive knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles.
• Understand aspects of structural steel and miscellaneous metal concepts.
