Seaton Towson is seeking a highly skilled Delegating Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of care for our residents.

Job Summary:

The Delegating Nurse will assist in the supervision of the nursing department, performing all Delegating Nurse responsibilities per COMAR 10.07.14.20. This includes advocating for resident care, completing self-medication assessments, and updating the Resident Assessment Tool (RAT) annually.

Responsibilities:
  • Advocate for resident care, including case management and coordination of care, ensuring quality and appropriateness of care.
  • Complete self-medication assessments every three months.
  • Complete comprehensive nursing assessments for residents on admission, re-admission, and every 45 days.
  • Update the RAT annually and with any significant change in condition as needed.
  • Provide staff training and education regarding changes in resident service planning.
  • Manage clinical oversight of resident care in the Assisted Living.
  • Review and sign all incident/accident reports within regulatory time frame.
  • Coordinate and implement all appropriate interventions.
  • Coordinate supervision of nursing staff, including coaching, evaluating, retaining, educating, orienting, providing support, scheduling, counseling, and payroll as needed.
  • Encourage staff to participate in employee satisfaction surveys and improve satisfaction scores.
  • Participate in marketing/admission meetings.
  • Participate and prepare audits for quarterly Quality Assurance Meetings.
  • Assist in providing staff training per COMAR regulation 10.07.14.19 as needed.
  • Review and update nursing policies as needed in conjunction with the Assisted Living Manager and Director of Health & Wellness.
  • Maintain compliance with all MD COMAR regulations governing assisted living.
  • Comply with Medicaid Waiver requirements for reportable events and incident reporting.
  • Participate in bi-weekly on-call coverage and provide floor coverage as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Assisted Living Manager and Director of Health & Wellness.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a Registered Nurse and Delegating RN with current licensure in Maryland.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Previous experience in a similar setting preferred.
  • Must possess excellent management and communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in English.
  • Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters.
