Job Summary

i3 Broadband LLC is seeking a skilled Installation Specialist to join our team. As a critical member of our installation and support team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the successful installation of our cable television and broadband services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and configure cable television and broadband services for customers, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Perform new connects, reconnects, and disconnects, as well as add outlets and install converters.
  • Analyze picture quality and judge acceptability of picture delivered following installation of cable service.
  • Use customary CATV hand and power tools in performance of job duties.
  • Read signal levels through use of field strength meter and add/subtract levels in installation problems.
  • Properly use, store, and maintain a VOM or DMM to check for "open" or "short" on line as well as AC and DC voltages.
  • Read general drop system layouts from blueprints.
  • Inform customers of FCC Rules and company policies.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork/system logs as required.
  • Perform vehicle upkeep and maintenance to keep company vehicles clean, fueled, and in good working order.
  • Generate additional company revenue through effective sales techniques and by offering information about product options, sales campaigns, and promotions.
  • Provide assistance to other team members or perform other duties as directed.

  • Must be computer proficient and have a basic understanding of consumer electronics.
  • Delights in providing excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Willingness and desire to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality results.
  • Must be available to work occasional overtime and some nights (as needed).
  • Clean driving record required.
  • Willing to train, accept feedback, and learn the job according to i3 standards.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work outdoors and in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Better than average manual dexterity to work with connectors, fasteners, and wire and use hand tools.
  • Visual acuity, especially when working with small components at a close visual range.
  • Ability and comfort to work within limited confines, such as crawl spaces.
  • Ability to climb utility poles or work from high spaces with or without the assistance of a bucket truck, while adhering to safety rules/regulations and with proper rigging/climbing equipment.
