Category Merchandiser

Job Summary:

The Associate Category Merchandiser plays a crucial role in the coordination and execution of strategic category plans across assigned categories. This position requires strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to present results of analysis and data models to management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Category Manager and Promotional Planning Manager to develop and execute category strategies
• Use margin targets and competitive data to provide business insights and recommendations
• Coordinate product, cost, merchandising tactics, and activities supporting promotions, TPRs, and selling events
• Oversee the input of deals and file maintenance data to ensure all programs are executed on time
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure programs are on trend with the industry and reflective of the regional mix

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing
• 0-2 years of working knowledge of retail/supermarket, wholesale, and/or CPG experience
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, comfortable with complex financial data
• Ability to present results of analysis, data models, and other projects to management concisely
• Strong communications skills – speaking, writing, presenting

Working Conditions:

Office environment with a temperature range of 65F to 75F.
