Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Job Summary:

E-Therapy is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team of clinical therapists. As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing speech and language therapy services to students in PreK-12 schools, helping them develop communication skills and overcome speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Develop Individualized Therapy Plans: Create personalized therapy plans and goals based on assessment results and students' needs.
  • Provide Direct Therapy Services: Deliver direct therapy services to students, targeting areas such as articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
  • Collaborate with Educational Team: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' communication goals in the classroom and other educational settings.
  • Implement Evidence-Based Techniques: Incorporate evidence-based techniques and therapeutic activities into therapy sessions to promote speech and language development.
  • Monitor Progress and Adjust Plans: Regularly monitor students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to facilitate optimal outcomes.
  • Document Therapy Sessions: Accurately and timely document therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information.
  • Participate in IEP Meetings: Participate in IEP meetings and provide input regarding students' speech and language needs.
Qualifications:
  • Valid State Licensure: Hold valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant.
  • Experience in Speech-Language Therapy: Possess experience providing speech-language therapy services in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Assessment and Therapeutic Techniques: Demonstrate proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric speech-language pathology.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Teletherapy Experience: Possess experience in teletherapy or online counseling (preferred).
  • AAC Systems Knowledge: Have knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technology used in speech-language therapy (preferred).
