About the Role

The Brattleboro Retreat is seeking a highly skilled Patient Safety Officer to join our team. As a Patient Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in planning, implementing, and managing performance improvement processes related to patient safety and quality initiatives hospital-wide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the organization's overall performance improvement activities.
  • Serve as a resource for clinical risk management issues.
  • Work collaboratively with all staff to ensure a safe and high-quality patient care environment.
  • Conduct clinical chart audits, analyze results, and develop action plans to improve patient safety and quality outcomes.
Requirements
  • Degree from an accredited college or nursing program, and licensed as a Registered Nurse.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Five years of clinical experience in a psychiatric facility or similar environment.
  • Two years of experience in conducting clinical chart audits, analyzing results, and developing action plans.
