Job Title: Registered Nurse, Aesthetic Ambulatory Surgery Center

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Aesthetic Surgery Centre and Medical Spa. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our state-of-the-art Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care:
    • Conduct thorough preoperative assessments to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
    • Provide patient education and address questions and concerns related to procedures.
    • Administer medications and start IVs as needed.
    • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes or complications.
    • Assist in the operating room and provide support to patients in recovery.
    • Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and post-operative care.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and care plans.
    • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities in our electronic health record system.
    • Respond to and triage incoming surgery patient calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Quality and Safety:
    • Adhere to our policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of care delivery.
    • Ensure proper handling and disposal of medications and medical supplies.
    • Stay current with best practices and advancements in ambulatory surgery nursing.
    • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Professional Development:
    • Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.
    • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations.
    Requirements:
    • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State.
    • Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
    • PALS certification preferred.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a surgical or perioperative setting.
