Position Summary

As a Chef, your primary responsibility will be to ensure client and customer satisfaction through the provision of culinary resources and support. You may oversee scheduling, discipline, and hiring within the department. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef to develop innovative menus, recipes, and procurement strategies. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and entrepreneurial culinary professional.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver frontline culinary resources and support.
  • Assist in managing food costs, menu planning, purchasing, and adherence to food quality standards.
  • Contribute to the planning and creation of menus.
  • Produce and execute catering events.
  • Implement new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams.
  • Support cost control measures and manage expenditures for the account.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in culinary management.
  • Background in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, or related food service operations.
  • Hands-on chef experience is essential.
  • Extensive catering experience is preferred.
  • Experience in high-volume batch cooking and complex food service operations is advantageous.
  • Thorough knowledge of food and catering trends, emphasizing quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and MS Office applications, including Excel.
  • An Associate's degree in Culinary Arts is preferred.
