GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Eyebrow Waxing Specialist is tasked with optimizing sales for the Benefit brand by engaging with clients to identify their unique needs, guiding them in selecting and purchasing products, and performing brief services such as eyebrow and facial waxing and tinting.

They embody the image, products, and ethos of the brand to the Ulta Beauty clientele and assist the Experience Manager (EM) by focusing on performance (service and retail sales, in-store events), people (guest service), and process (operational procedures and compliance standards).

This role necessitates an active license in Esthetics or Cosmetology (as mandated by law), outstanding guest service skills, and the ability to learn and convey product knowledge effectively.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Job Functions)

The Eyebrow Waxing Specialist champions Ulta Beauty's mission, vision, and values, demonstrating them skillfully and consistently through the following responsibilities:

Performance

Achieve or surpass Benefit brand sales and service objectives, contributing to the overall store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty (including credit), omni-channel, and retail shrink as established by Ulta Beauty.

Ensure every guest receives exceptional service by warmly greeting and engaging each client, personalizing their experience, and recommending complementary products, samples, and services.

Conduct makeup applications, skincare assessments, and product demonstrations with clients to enhance sales and guest service experiences.

Execute brief services at the Brow Bar, including (but not limited to) eyebrow and facial waxing, tweezing, eyebrow tinting, strip lash applications, and threading, in accordance with all Ulta Beauty policies and procedures.

Utilize the appointment system to schedule clients for initial services, follow-up services, and events.

People

Foster an inclusive environment that supports colleagues, peers, and both internal and external guests.

Regularly engage in ongoing Benefit and Ulta Beauty training, including training events, team meetings, and brand education, to facilitate continuous professional development and enhance sales performance.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships and an active clientele portfolio for Benefit brand services.

Maintain robust relationships with Benefit brand partners through participation in required training and execution of in-store events and promotions.

Collaborate with Prestige consultants and salon professionals to promote teamwork and exceptional customer service.

Communicate the advantages of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app, to guests on the sales floor.

Work alongside managers and associates throughout the store to contribute to business growth.

Process

Possess knowledge of and ensure adherence to Ulta Beauty's policies, procedures, and standards.

Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols before, during, and after services; always comply with state board guidelines.

Adhere to the Ulta Beauty and Benefit brand dress code, including wearing brand assets as instructed.

Drive sales by maintaining the Brow Bar area, ensuring it is stocked, signed, and organized, while also ensuring hygiene standards for testers are met.

Promptly communicate supply needs to the store management team and brand representatives to ensure readiness for guests at all times.

Uphold outstanding operational standards within the store, including the cleanliness of the Brow Bar and any additional assigned areas such as the sales floor, restrooms, cash wrap, backroom, and break area.

Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory procedures, and processing shipments using the Benefit brand's and Ulta Beauty's technology and best practices.

Safeguard company assets by adhering to loss prevention best practices while providing exceptional guest service.

Execute other operational tasks as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education

High school diploma preferred

Cosmetology or esthetics license where required by state law

Experience

Experience in makeup application; eyebrow and facial waxing, tweezing, and eyebrow tinting preferred

Proficiency with equipment necessary for technical work

Skills

Demonstrates significant competency in sales, products, and service

Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Ability to positively and proactively address guest concerns and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Flexible schedule availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

WORKING CONDITIONS
Continuous mobility during shifts

Frequent standing, pulling, pushing, crouching, stooping, reaching, bending, and twisting during shifts

Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs. during shifts

Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shifts

The pay range for this position is $27.00 / Hour. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business needs.
