The Lead Fabricator is a key member of the fabrication team at Automation Engineering Company, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department. This role requires a strong understanding of fabrication processes, quality control, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of fabricators to ensure efficient production and high-quality results.
- Develop and implement processes to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, logistics, and purchasing, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Ensure compliance with AEC's safety standards, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and employee engagement.
- Manage and maintain equipment, tools, and supplies to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation plans to ensure departmental goals are met.
- 5+ years of experience in fabrication, with a strong background in welding and metalworking.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in team leadership and development.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, quality control, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a degree in a related field (e.g., welding, engineering) preferred.
The Lead Fabricator will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, with a passion for fabrication and a commitment to excellence.
