Job Overview

Cencora seeks a highly skilled Chief Cybersecurity Strategist to lead our Security Operations Center. This role is perfect for an experienced professional with a passion for threat hunting, cybersecurity, and team leadership.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, allowing them to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. They should also possess a deep understanding of security controls, including system-level controls, network controls, and security operations across Endpoint, Cloud, SaaS, and Identity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct threat hunting to identify, classify, prioritize, and report on cyber threats following industry best practices.
  • Research emerging security threats and provide correlation and trending of cyber incident activity.
  • Craft methodologies for monitoring, detection, and analytics for SIEM and other platforms.
  • Analyze security incidents to enhance alerting schema.
  • Provide security briefings to advise on critical issues affecting the enterprise.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in the cybersecurity industry, preferably at the Enterprise level.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expert-level understanding of security controls, including system-level controls, network controls, and security operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) capabilities and multiple EDR products.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of regular expressions and at least one common scripting language.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • PREFERRED certifications: Azure Security Engineer Certification, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), etc.
Salary Range*

$121,000 - $186,230
