Overview

The Archdiocese of New Orleans seeks a highly skilled and experienced Director of Facilities Management to oversee the functionality, comfort, efficiency, safety, and compliance of our school site. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the overall quality of campus facilities and services.

Salary

We offer a salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, with estimates ranging from $80,000 to over $110,000 per year, depending on the selected candidate's background and performance.

Job Description

This twelve-month, exempt position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facilities management, including inspections, maintenance, preventative maintenance, design, direction, and implementation of all campus projects. The Director works closely with various teams and personnel to ensure the successful execution of these tasks.

The successful candidate will have exceptional leadership, managerial, and organizational skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. They will also possess a deep understanding of access control systems, occupancy, operations and maintenance, and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all campus facilities meet relevant safety standards and regulations.
  • Preventative Maintenance Scheduling: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance schedule to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Capital Forecasting Projections: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and manage capital budgets for future projects.
  • Energy Conservation Efforts: Identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Fleet Management: Oversee the maintenance and operation of the transportation fleet.
  • Events Management: Coordinate logistics for events held on campus, ensuring smooth setup, execution, and breakdown.
  • General Operations and Maintenance: Provide day-to-day oversight of facilities operations, addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Management of 3rd Party Vendor Relationships: Foster positive relationships with external vendors, ensuring timely delivery of services and materials.
  • Project Management for Expansion of Services: Lead projects aimed at expanding campus services and improving overall facilities management.
  • Campus Security: Collaborate with security personnel to maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Budget Management: Manage large operating and capital budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • General Landscape and Athletic Field Management: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of campus grounds and athletic fields.
  • Oversight of HVAC, Door, Lighting, and Camera-Based Systems: Ensure that these systems are functioning optimally and make recommendations for upgrades or replacements as needed.
  • Management of Campus Key System: Maintain accurate records of key holders and access permissions.
  • Resource Management: Effectively manage resources, including personnel, supplies, and equipment.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning initiatives, providing input on facilities-related matters.
