Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide comprehensive care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role involves managing a diverse patient population, focusing on adult and geriatric demographics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient evaluations and prescribe appropriate treatments.
  • Participate actively in tumor board discussions.
  • Oversee the administration of chemotherapy by nursing staff as per physician directives.
  • Manage vascular access devices and administer intrathecal chemotherapy.
Work Schedule:
Our ideal candidate will work a Monday to Friday schedule, averaging 8-9 hours per day, with a call ratio of 1:4, including weeknights and weekends.

Practice Environment:
The practice consists of a collaborative team of 4 physicians, including 2 radiation oncologists, and 4 advanced practice providers. The facility operates at a Trauma Level III and utilizes the Mosaiq EMR system.

Qualifications:
  • Active medical license in Iowa.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology.
  • Current BLS certification.
