Work Schedule:

This position offers a part-time 16-hour work schedule, with hours from Monday to Wednesday, 2:30 PM - 8:00 PM. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in outpatient imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Radiology Medical Director, the MRI Imaging Specialist will:
  • Conduct routine to advanced magnetic resonance imaging procedures and related techniques, generating images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
  • Ensure that all services are delivered in a safe environment, adhering to established guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the imaging center team, actively seeking and providing feedback to enhance clinical practices.
Qualifications:

Experience:
  • Up to 5 years of experience as an MRI Imaging Specialist.
Education:
  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Radiology or completion of an accredited two-year radiology program.
Licensure/Certification:

Candidates must hold certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current registration. Additionally, an MR advanced registration through ARRT is required within the first year of employment. Compliance with state licensure requirements is also necessary, along with BLS certification within 60 days of hire.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient knowledge of routine to complex MRI procedures and protocols.
  • Expertise in operating MRI equipment and associated ancillary devices.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
  • Competence in providing accurate and concise documentation.
  • Understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with computer applications, including information and billing systems, data entry, digital archiving, and data retrieval.
