Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Create and implement comprehensive safety programs to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
  • Conduct Audits and Risk Assessments: Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Provide Training and Support: Provide training and support to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sustainability initiatives and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Interface with Regulatory Agencies: Interface with regulatory agencies and authorities to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage EHS Priorities: Manage EHS priorities during facility restructuring projects and major process changes.
  • Assure Compliance: Assure compliance with all OSHA regulatory standards, including industrial hygiene, confined space entry, fall protection, machine guarding, and contractor safety.
  • Manage Employee Safety Programs: Manage the administration of employee safety and risk programs, and maintain current insurance policies.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) are preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, regulatory compliance, Human Resources, and training.
  • Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Access skills desirable.
