This role is crucial for executing a variety of essential programming tasks that necessitate a solid understanding of established coding practices and data processing standards, as well as maintaining and enhancing existing applications.
Position Overview

  • Architect and develop systems leveraging diverse Java technologies, emphasizing performance while fulfilling business objectives.
  • Implement solutions for our Point of Sale and Back Office systems, which encompass SOAP Web Services, RESTful Web Services, stored procedures, scripting, and Java applications.
  • Conduct database analysis and design on MySQL, including crafting complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, triggers, and more.
  • Engage in collaborative projects within an agile, team-oriented environment.
  • Assess and recommend industry-standard tools and methodologies.
  • Facilitate software installations and updates across various environments.
  • Analyze requirements and provide estimates for design, development, and testing efforts as necessary.
  • Document software architecture and contribute to design evaluations.
  • Provide insights on available data and collaborate closely with technical and sales teams to steer future initiatives.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficient in Java programming, with a strong emphasis on web development.
  • Experience in creating and utilizing web services.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database management.
  • Experience in working with and customizing Maven build configurations.
  • Proficient in using version control systems, preferably Subversion (SVN).
  • Exceptional presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines for programming tasks.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to tackle challenging projects and assist in resolving issues in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Significant experience in user interface design and analysis.
  • Experience with Scrum and agile methodologies is preferred.
