Certified Rehabilitation Assistant

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Preceptor Home Health & Hospice team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with physical therapists to provide direct patient care, promoting optimal recovery and rehabilitation outcomes.

**About the Role:**

In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will be responsible for implementing physical therapy plans under the guidance of licensed physical therapists. Your expertise will involve assisting patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training.

You will also utilize various physical agents, such as heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage, to enhance patient care. Additionally, you will observe and report patient reactions to treatment, maintain accurate records, and participate in home care team meetings and in-service education programs.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Assist patients in performing active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training.
• Utilize physical agents, including heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage, to promote patient recovery.
• Maintain accurate records of patient progress and reactions to treatment.
• Participate in home care team meetings and in-service education programs.

**What We Offer:

**Requirements:**

• Certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist patients with transfers
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
