Key Responsibilities:
The Associate Surveillance Analyst will oversee the monitoring of collateral and credit performance for commercial mortgage loan portfolios across various capital sources. This includes analyzing current or anticipated stabilized cash flows in relation to market trends. Collaboration with portfolio managers, asset managers, investors, and agencies will be essential. This position provides an exceptional opportunity to acquire and enhance a wide range of financial, credit, analytical, and presentation skills.
Work Schedule:
This team operates on a hybrid schedule, working on-site three days a week during standard business hours.
What You Will Gain:
- Development of robust credit and real estate valuation skills.

- Acquisition of critical skills necessary for asset management and origination roles.
- Analyze historical operating trends for various property types, identifying variances and potential risks associated with property operations. Provide written analyses highlighting key trends and issues, along with corresponding mitigants.
- Offer analytical support to senior team members on a variety of assignments, including historical trend analysis, cash flow modeling, risk analysis, property valuation, market analysis, and credit analysis of borrowers and tenants.
- Maintain attention to detail, proactively enhancing the integrity of portfolio information while meeting reporting deadlines.
- Research and analyze market data, monitor trends, and assess comparable transactions to determine collateral value and associated risks.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Familiarity with basic financial modeling and valuation concepts and methodologies.
- Strong quantitative skills and demonstrated analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Aptitude for building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
