Compensation: $95 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts standardized assessments and screenings to identify individuals with communication disorders.
- Evaluates communication abilities (e.g., articulation, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language) to determine eligibility for services and create treatment recommendations.
- Collaborates with various stakeholders (e.g., families, educators, healthcare providers) to share information, address concerns, and ensure compliance with established protocols.
- Consults with educators and other professionals to provide insights, develop service plans, and coordinate therapy efforts across disciplines.
- Facilitates meetings for eligible individuals (e.g., assessments, planning sessions) to present findings, develop treatment strategies, and offer training to families and staff.
- Creates therapeutic interventions aimed at improving communication skills and recommending assistive technologies.
- Designs treatment plans and educational resources to mitigate the effects of communication disorders in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Supervises the activities of Speech Paraprofessionals to ensure effective program delivery.
- Engages in ongoing professional development to remain informed about best practices and advancements in the field.
- Instructs support staff on communication disorders, assistive devices, and implementation of treatment plans.
- Teaches individuals how to utilize communication technologies (e.g., hearing aids, augmentative devices) to enhance their educational experience.
- Interprets medical documentation to ensure that treatment plans are relevant and effective.
- Ensures confidentiality to protect the privacy of individuals and their families.
- Maintains comprehensive records (e.g., progress reports, treatment plans) to ensure compliance and facilitate communication.
- Participates in professional gatherings (e.g., training sessions, team meetings) to exchange information and enhance service delivery.
- Conducts visits to various locations to provide therapy and support as needed.
- Prepares a variety of documentation (e.g., reports, treatment plans) to accurately reflect services provided and outcomes achieved.
- Delivers speech and language therapy to individuals to support their communication needs.
- Researches and evaluates resources and methodologies to determine the most effective approaches for addressing communication challenges.
- Responds to inquiries from families and professionals to provide information and appropriate referrals.
- Manages the transportation of necessary supplies and equipment to ensure service delivery.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication.
