Seeking a Skilled Millwright for Diverse Projects
Objective
The role of the Millwright is essential for the installation and adjustment of both new and existing machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct precise alignment on machinery, whether newly installed or already in place.
- Perform operational tests on machines and equipment, diagnosing issues and executing repairs before production release.
- Engage in carpentry and rigging tasks as necessary.
- Carry out welding, brazing, and heating tasks as required.
- Transport materials and equipment to and from work sites using appropriate methods.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, repair manuals, and instructions from supervisors or colleagues.
- Identify and report any malfunctioning operations or defective materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas, machinery, and equipment.
- Complete and maintain necessary documentation as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience equivalent to a journeyman Millwright, typically gained through five years of hands-on field experience, including apprenticeship or relevant vocational training.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.
- Ability to follow instructions from management and supervisors effectively.
- Awareness of safety hazards and knowledge of appropriate safety protocols.
- Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and scheduling work to align with project timelines, maintaining daily logs of progress.
- Capable of working skillfully with hands.
- Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable climbing and maintaining balance on ladders and scaffolding.
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch as needed.
Employment Type:
- Temporary to Permanent for the right candidate.
Shift Details:
Shifts of 10 and 12 hours available.
