Director of Talent Planning and Strategy

We are seeking a Director of Talent Planning and Strategy to join our People Strategy & Transformation team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Palo Alto Networks by analyzing workforce needs, forecasting future talent requirements, and developing workforce strategies that align with the company's goals.
About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team that values innovation, collaboration, and diversity. You will work closely with business leaders, Finance, and the People team to drive organizational effectiveness and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have expertise in strategic planning, data analytics, and program management.
You will develop long-term scenarios, partner with Finance to articulate the human capital and cost impact of various people strategies, and execute strategies with clear milestones over the long term. Your Impact
- Influential Leadership - Ability to inspire and influence in highly matrixed, fast-moving, and changing environments
- Data Analytics and Visualization - Summarize people costs from the financial plan and visualize data to track progress effectively
- Organizational Design - Partner with People Business Partners and Executive Business Leaders to evaluate and optimize organizational effectiveness and efficiency
You will be responsible for:
- Developing a 3-year Workforce Plan by function, establishing first principles for resource allocation, and defining productivity metrics by segment and role within each function
- Launching transformational and hygiene initiatives to optimize revenue per employee and creating comprehensive headcount and budgetary plans for personnel
- Supporting functional leaders to develop workforce plans as part of the annual planning process and monitoring and tracking progress on a quarterly basis
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in workforce planning, strategic planning, or a related field
- Expertise in data analytics, visualization, and program management
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and influence in highly matrixed environments
Palo Alto Networks offers a competitive salary range of $203,000 - $278,750 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Our compensation package also includes restricted stock units and a bonus. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits program, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
