Railroad Carman

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Railcar Mechanic to join our team at Road & Rail Services. As a Railcar Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing mechanical repairs to railcars, ensuring they are safe and operational.

• Inspect railcars for damage and fatigue, identifying repairs that can be performed by Road & Rail Services.
• Perform authorized repairs to customer and AAR specifications, using a range of mechanical equipment.
• Operate all-terrain vehicles and tractors, as well as other specialized equipment.

• Strong mechanical background and experience with welding.
• Ability to use basic hand tools, including pipe wrenches, pry bars, wrenches, and ratchets.
• Physical ability to work in an outdoor environment, exposed to all weather elements, including extreme temperatures, dust, and noise.
