Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, rebuilding, or overhauling major assemblies of internal combustion engines in automobiles, buses, trucks, or tractors.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose the source of problems and determine the extent of repairs required.
- Replace worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts.
- Grind and adjust valves; rebuild carburetors; overhaul transmissions; and repair fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems.
- Maintain tools and equipment and clean work areas.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in diesel mechanics and related vehicle systems such as air conditioning, electrical, and brakes.
- ASE Certification.
- Experience in Refueling Pumping Systems Maintenance, and Fire Truck Pumping Systems Maintenance.
- Experience in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Able to work weekends on a rotating schedule.
- Experience using the latest diagnostic equipment (Scan Tool, etc.).
- Experience using Tire removal/installation equipment and tire balancing equipment.
- Must provide own General Mechanic tool set.
- CDL with Wrecker Endorsement.
The employee may be exposed to noise, dirt, dust, grease, machinery with moving parts, irritating chemicals, and occasional cold, heat, and inclement weather. The work may require the use of protective devices, such as masks, goggles, and/or gloves.
