Skilled Handyman

Hercules Const & Maintenance Inc is seeking a skilled and reliable Construction Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for individuals with construction experience looking to expand their skillset and take on new challenges.

The Construction Assistant will assist the General Contractor in various tasks, including drywall repair, painting, light framing, tile installation, cleanup, material purchases, and trim work. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be physically fit, and possess excellent communication skills.

1. Perform drywall repair and replacement as needed
2. Assist with painting and finishing work, including preparation and application of materials
3. Conduct light framing and carpentry tasks, such as installing trim and building custom fixtures
4. Install and grout tile, ensuring accurate spacing and alignment
5. Maintain a clean and organized work site, adhering to health and safety protocols
6. Source and purchase materials as required, working closely with the General Contractor to ensure timely delivery
7. Complete trim work and finishing details, ensuring high-quality results

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in construction or a related field
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights, as required

The estimated salary for this role is $62,500 - 72,500 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
