Job Summary

The Lewis University School of Education seeks a dedicated and experienced faculty member to join our team as a full-time instructor in the academic area of early childhood education. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for providing instruction, fostering excellence in teaching, and contributing to the growth and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and submit updated course syllabi using the approved template
  • Ensure that course content aligns with expected competencies and objectives
  • Review student evaluations and provide feedback
  • Plan and teach assigned courses (32 credits annually)
  • Support retention activities and communicate with students and administration
  • Assist in program and course reviews to ensure student learning outcomes
  • Submit grades on time and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Doctoral or master's degree (terminal degree preferred) in Early Childhood Education from an accredited institution
  • Oral and written bilingual skills (English, Spanish) preferred
  • Understanding of accreditation processes and experience in curriculum development and assessment
  • Minimum of two-year work experience in the field
  • Experience in teaching online and using course learning management systems
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule
