We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our Transplant Services team at the University of Rochester. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive transplant services.
Responsibilities- Manage inpatient and outpatient care for transplant patients, including liver, kidney, and pancreas transplant patients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, as well as to internal and external healthcare providers.
- Participate in research, committees, and other academic pursuits to advance the field of transplant medicine.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Nurse Practitioner: Master's degree (or pending) as a Nurse Practitioner, active New York State Registered Nurse license, active/pending New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure, and current/pending national certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Physician Assistant: Completion (or pending) of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, active/pending New York State Physician Assistant licensure, and current/pending national certification as a Physician Assistant by the NCCPA.
