The Poarch Band of Creek Indians is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Plant Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our meat processing plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Food Safety and Quality Programs: Design, implement, and maintain effective food safety and quality programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Lead Quality Assurance Team: Supervise and manage a team of quality assurance technicians to ensure the effective implementation of quality and food safety programs.
- Conduct Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with production, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of quality and food safety initiatives.
- Develop and Maintain Quality and Food Safety Documentation: Create and maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of quality and food safety procedures, policies, and records.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Stay current with industry developments, regulatory requirements, and best practices in food safety and quality assurance.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., food science, microbiology, or a related field) and at least 4 years of experience in a quality assurance or food safety role in the meat processing industry.
- Certifications and Training: Possess and maintain relevant certifications (e.g., HACCP, SQF, and PAACO) and complete ongoing training and professional development in food safety and quality assurance.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
